According to glavcom.ua: The Netherlands and Ireland may not participate in Eurovision-2026 due to the tense situation in Gaza. Broadcasters from these countries mention serious violations of human rights and press freedom in the region.
Musician Phil Coulter urged Great Britain to also join the boycott if Israel participates. The final decision on participation in the contest will be made by broadcasters RTÉ and Avrotros after the statement from the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), which organizes Eurovision. Previously, more than 70 former participants of the contest expressed their support for Israel's refusal to take part in the upcoming Eurovision.
