Nikita Dobrynin Breaks Silence on the New Bachelor Announcement
Vyacheslav Kravtsov to Star in Season 15 of 'The Bachelor'
According to РБК-Україна — Lite: Basketball player Vyacheslav Kravtsov has been named the lead of the 15th season of the reality show 'The Bachelor.' Nikita Dobrynin, a former contestant from season 9, shared his thoughts on the casting choice. He admitted feeling surprised upon learning about Kravtsov's involvement.
“We’ve actually known each other for a very long time. I was shocked when they announced him. At first, I thought it was some kind of joke he started himself. Then I realized he really is the Bachelor. That’s really cool,” Dobrynin said.
Reactions to the New Season and the Idea of Returning
When asked about his feelings toward the upcoming season, Dobrynin revealed he hasn’t reached out to Kravtsov or offered congratulations.
“I didn’t write him anything or wish him well. But I can see the buzz-some girls are swooning. Others are criticizing and hating on him. That’s the eternal cycle. Then everyone watches, and they hate and love him all over again. That’s how it should be,” he added.
Dobrynin also weighed in on whether he would ever return to the show. “I probably wouldn’t go back, because back then it was an interesting chapter for me. Now it holds zero appeal. Honestly, I don’t even watch the show anymore. It doesn’t fit into my interests. But of course, I stay in the loop thanks to social media,” he concluded.
For context, Nikita Dobrynin participated in season 9 of 'The Bachelor,' which aired in spring 2019. He chose Dasha Kvitkova in the finale, and the two later married. Their son Lev was born in July 2021, but the couple eventually divorced. Kvitkova has since remarried, to footballer Volodymyr Brazhko.
