During the trip, he discussed joint defense projects and arms deliveries between the two nations. The German delegation was shown critical components of Ukraine's air defense system, including a command center and a mobile fire unit designed to counter Shahed drones.

Ukrainian military personnel also showcased heavy-caliber machine guns and interceptor drones used to combat hostile threats. Reports indicate that air defense forces can shoot down about 90% of enemy drones and roughly 80% of cruise missiles. During his visit, Pistorius, together with Ukrainian Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal, toured the CHPP-5 plant, which has suffered damage from Russian attacks.

Joint Projects and Cooperation

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the countries are already working on six joint projects in weapons manufacturing.
