According to Главком: Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide visited Kyiv to discuss cooperation between Ukraine and Norway. During the meeting with the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Andrii Sybiha, they discussed important aspects of bilateral relations, as well as new initiatives in the field of agricultural support in Ukraine. Norway will allocate 40 million crowns, which is about UAH 168 million, for these purposes.

Andrii Sybiha honored the memory of the fallen defenders of Ukraine during the meeting, stating: 'We began by honoring the memory of our fallen defenders who gave their lives defending Ukraine and our shared values.'

This commemoration emphasizes the importance of the partnership between Ukraine and Norway, which has a centuries-old shared history.

It is important to note that the defense ministers of Ukraine and Norway, Denys Shmyhal and Tore Sandvik, also participated in the discussions. These meetings indicate further integration and cooperation between the countries in various areas, which may positively impact the development of agriculture in Ukraine.

Strategic importance of cooperation

The cooperation between Ukraine and Norway has strategic significance, as both countries seek to strengthen their relations in the face of modern challenges. The allocation of funding for agricultural support is an important step in ensuring food security in Ukraine, as well as a testament to Norway's readiness to support the Ukrainian people during difficult times.

These initiatives can contribute not only to economic development but also to improving the humanitarian situation in regions affected by the war.
