Purchases of New Year Sweets in Ukraine in 2025

According to Главком: In 2025, purchases of New Year sweets in Ukraine reached 208.7 million UAH, with nearly 1800 contracts concluded. At the same time, 14 purchases with an expected cost of 5.6 million UAH were still ongoing at the time of calculations. The peak of orders occurred in October and November: in October, 39 million UAH was spent, and in November – 117 million UAH. Compared to previous years, in 2021, 171 million UAH was contracted for New Year sweets, in 2023, 123 million UAH was spent, and in 2022 – 91 million UAH.

Regional Expenditures and Suppliers

Among the regions that stand out with the highest expenses:

  • Kyiv Oblast concluded 203 contracts for 44 million UAH.
  • Kharkiv region ordered sweets for 27 million UAH.
  • Odesa Oblast concluded 83 contracts for 17.8 million UAH.
  • Vinnytsia Oblast – 284 contracts for 14.8 million UAH.
  • Dnipropetrovsk region concluded 97 agreements for 13.1 million UAH.

Among the suppliers of New Year gifts in 2025:

  • LLC 'Country of the free' concluded 33 contracts for 20.5 million UAH.
  • LLC 'Sweet Gifts Workshop' concluded 64 contracts for 18.8 million UAH.
  • LLC 'World Trader' concluded 46 contracts for 13.7 million UAH.
  • Individual Entrepreneur Oksana Zaslavskaya concluded a contract for 13.4 million UAH.
  • JSC 'Kharkiv Biscuit Factory' concluded 11 contracts for 12.7 million UAH.

According to BI Prozorro, 35 purchases through Prozorro Market were recorded at 31.9 million UAH, with the average price of one gift through this channel being 176.6 UAH.

Thus, 2025 became a record year in terms of spending on New Year sweets, indicating an activation of purchases in the public sector.

The increase in spending on New Year sweets may reflect not only increased demand but also economic stability, allowing government institutions to invest more in holiday purchases.

It is also important to note that the activation of purchases may indicate the government's intentions to support domestic producers and stimulate economic development during the holiday season. Regional data demonstrate different approaches to holiday expenditures, which may be related to local traditions and the economic capabilities of the regions.
