NYT: Russia will launch over 1000 drones over Ukraine by autumn
According to hvylya.net: Russia has set a new record for nighttime attacks, launching 728 drones and missiles at Ukraine on Wednesday night - 189 drones more than the previous maximum. This was reported by The New York Times.
The attack came after Trump sharply criticized Putin for his 'absurd' actions towards achieving peace. According to NYT, a shipment of 30 Patriot missiles and other weapons is in Poland waiting to cross the border, as Trump lifted the pause on deliveries.
It is projected that by autumn, Russia will regularly launch over 1000 drones in a single attack as their industry gains increasing capacity for drone production.
Ukraine is critically dependent on American Patriot air defense systems, which can shoot down Russian hypersonic missiles 'Kinzhal'. Zelensky proposed purchasing Patriots with European funds, but Trump’s approval is needed for exports.
According to the publication, Trump has not yet approached Congress regarding the restoration of funding for the transfer of weapons to Ukraine.
Russian drones continue to leave a serious mark on Ukraine, with new records of nighttime attacks. The production capacities of Russia's drones are rapidly increasing, creating serious challenges for Ukrainian defense systems and international support.
