OSCE Addresses Russian Missile and Drone Assaults on Ukraine

According to МЗС: At a special meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council in Vienna, delegates discussed Russia's ongoing missile and drone attacks targeting Ukraine. The session was convened at Ukraine's request, underscoring the critical need for a coordinated international response to the aggression. The OSCE, a key security and cooperation body in Europe, provides a vital forum for such diplomatic confrontations.

During the meeting, Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis presented the priorities for Switzerland's upcoming OSCE Chairmanship in 2026. Ukrainian representative Andrii Sybiha emphasized the organization's urgent duty to respond to egregious violations of the Helsinki Principles, stating:

“The OSCE's capacity to react promptly and effectively to every egregious violation of the Helsinki Principles is of crucial importance.” - Andrii Sybiha

Andrii Sybiha also expressed gratitude for the OSCE's leadership and solidarity with Ukraine, adding:

“I am grateful to the OSCE for its leadership and solidarity with Ukraine.” - Andrii Sybiha

He thanked all partners and friends within the OSCE for their active participation in the meeting, highlighting the indispensable role of international support during this challenging period.
