Digitalization of Employment Records to Continue Beyond June 10, 2026
The Importance of Digitizing Employment Records
According to Міністерство соц. політики: The digitalization of employment records will carry on after June 10, 2026, and no insurance record data will be lost. This means citizens can confidently await further development of the system for digitizing documents that confirm their work history. Paper-based employment records will remain valid for verifying work experience.
A paper employment record can still be used when applying for a pension. Importantly, retirees who have already been granted a pension do not need to resubmit their employment record. The service period considered during the pension award is already stored in the information systems of the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU), simplifying the process for pension recipients. Thus, changes in the management of employment records will not affect retirees' rights.
Benefits of Digitizing Employment Records
Digitizing employment records is a key step in modernizing the system for tracking work history, making it easier to access information about service periods. These changes can also enhance transparency and efficiency in managing pension payments, as process automation reduces the risks of errors and delays in pension awards. Maintaining paper employment records until the transition to a digital system is complete ensures continuity in services provided to citizens.
As the deadline approaches, it's essential for citizens to understand the implications of the ongoing digital transition. The upcoming changes not only aim to streamline the management of employment records but also raise questions about the responsibilities individuals have regarding their own documentation. For a deeper insight into the upcoming requirements for digitizing employment records, it's crucial to stay informed and prepared.
