Huttsait: Ukrainian athletes will be able to compete with Russians under national flags

According to glavcom.ua: The head of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine Vadim Huttsait stated that Ukrainian athletes will be able to participate in international competitions again alongside athletes from Russia and Belarus. This information was announced during the telethon 'United News'.

Huttsait emphasized that it is important for Ukrainian athletes to participate in all international competitions, especially given the difficult situation in the country and the losses in the sports sector. The Ministry of Youth and Sports commission will now make decisions about the participation of Ukrainian athletes in tournaments alongside athletes from Russia and Belarus.

Currently, there is a ban on the participation of Ukrainian athletes in competitions with athletes from Russia and Belarus under national symbols, but some international federations are already allowing Russians and Belarusians to participate in such competitions. The decision regarding the admission of Ukrainian athletes to such competitions will depend on the decisions of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and a special commission that will determine the conditions for the participation of Ukrainian athletes in these competitions.
