Odesa region moves to distance learning: until what date will the online format last
Transition to distance learning in Odesa region
According to Главком: The Odesa region is moving to distance learning until January 19. This decision was made due to difficult weather conditions and the security situation. According to recommendations, all types of educational institutions, including extracurricular, vocational, and higher education, must organize the educational process in an online format. Alexander Lonchak, the director of the Education and Science Department of the Odesa Regional State Administration, emphasized the importance of making decisions in advance, which allows for safe conditions for students and teachers.
Situation in communities
In communities where there is stable energy supply, online lessons can be held. This will help to maintain the educational process even amid energy difficulties. Additionally, in the Vinnytsia region, the educational process in face-to-face format has also been suspended. The leadership of local communities together with educational institution leaders determine which teaching format will be most appropriate under the current conditions.
It is worth reminding that on January 9, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine instructed the Ministry of Education and Science to address the issue of temporarily suspending the educational process in face-to-face format. This decision was a response to the challenges arising from the complicated situation in the country.
The transition to distance learning in Odesa and Vinnytsia regions indicates the adaptation of the education system to changing conditions, particularly due to worsening weather conditions and the security situation. Such decisions also reflect general trends in Ukraine, where educational institutions are trying to maintain the educational process despite the challenges related to the energy crisis and other factors affecting the safety of students and teachers.
