The incident occurred in the village of Sophiivska community. According to law enforcement, the boy was spinning the dog on a leash and throwing it down a slope, considering his actions a game.

The Odesa police noticed a video that appeared online and decided to conduct an inspection. As a result, law enforcement conducted a preventive conversation with the boy, his friends, and his parents to explain the inadmissibility of such actions. The boy's mother faces a fine of up to 1700 hryvnias under Article 184 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences.
