'StopTysk': Ukraine's Prosecutor General's Office Unveils Online Hub Against Business Coercion
About the service
According to Прокуратура Київ: A web-based service called StopTysk has been launched by Ukraine's Prosecutor General's Office. It is designed to give business owners a way to report abusive interference with their work. The portal has been active for about a year and is available at https://stoptysk.gp.gov.ua/.
Types of abuse covered
Pressure on companies can take many forms, including:
- Blocking of operations.
- Seizure of documents or property without legal grounds.
- Searches conducted without a court ruling and proper video documentation.
- Psychological coercion.
- Unreasonable repeated summons for interrogation.
- Proposals to "sort things out" outside the law.
Early results of the portal's work are set to be discussed with Svitlana Lytvyn, deputy head of the unit overseeing compliance with laws on protection of national and international investments.
By launching StopTysk, Ukrainian law enforcement is signaling a stronger focus on protecting companies from improper pressure. This is an important step for the country's investment climate, as it encourages business owners to report violations and helps build a fairer market.
