Oleg Filimonov on the death of his grandson: the boy died during a basketball game

According to glavcom.ua: Ukrainian actor and comedian Oleg Filimonov shared a terrible tragedy that happened to his grandson, 15-year-old Evan Grigor. The boy suddenly died during a basketball game due to a heart problem. It turns out that Evan never complained about his health.

'He fell and died. You could say it was a heart attack. Before this, he was not suffering. He was studying at a maritime school, there was a medical commission, my wife took him to cardiologists, he underwent examinations.'

Oleg Filimonov was next to his grandson until the ambulance arrived, holding his hand. The actor found it hard to cope with this terrible loss and admits that it was unbearable both physically and emotionally.

'Probably, you have to be strong. I don't know how I dealt with it. I felt very bad, physically bad. I was lacking oxygen, I felt like I was about to faint.'
