Oleg Vynnyk denied the rumors that he left Ukraine in the trunk of a car under a blanket. The singer claims he crossed the border with his wife and the family of his producer, and that he lives in Germany under contract and does not have refugee status. He has previously explained the circumstances of his move to Germany. Vynnyk discussed this in an interview with Natalia Velesevych.

What Oleg Vynnyk said about leaving in the trunk

The singer reacted to the words of Dmytro Hordon, who mentioned rumors about the supposed departure of the artist from Ukraine in the trunk under a blanket. Vynnyk called this version implausible and questioned how a person could pass through customs that way.

«How could Oleg Vynnyk pass through customs under a blanket, in the trunk? There were too many people in the car. I mean the producer's family and my wife», — said the artist.

He also expressed outrage that this story is being discussed again and stated that loud rumors become a reason to talk about him. At the same time, the singer acknowledged that there are concerts in Germany, although there are not many yet, and he is effectively starting his career anew.

What status does the singer have in Germany

Vynnyk stated that he is in Germany legally, working under contract and has not received assistance as a refugee. According to him, he earns a living on his own. The singer has previously explained the difference between citizenship and the status of a resident of Germany.

«I do not have refugee status. I came as a civilized person, received a contract. A very good contract», — he stated.

Rumors about the manner of his departure and long-term stay abroad have repeatedly sparked discussions about the artist. In particular, producer Ihor Kondratiuk had previously explained the criticism towards Vynnyk after his move to Germany.
