OLX Job named the professions that are most sought after in the regions of Ukraine

In August 2026, employers in various regions of Ukraine most frequently searched for workers in manufacturing, logistics, and trade. The highest number of vacancies and responses were in Kyiv region. At the same time, demand and salaries varied depending on the region, as in other salary surveys by regions. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine citing a study from OLX Job.

What kind of workers are being sought in the central and western regions

In Kyiv region, the majority of advertisements were in retail, sales, and procurement - over 6.5 thousand. The median salary in this category was 29.7 thousand UAH. In manufacturing and labor professions, the offered median salary was 35 thousand UAH.

In Vinnitsa, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Poltava, and Chernihiv regions, the most sought-after were production workers. Median salaries ranged from 25 to 29 thousand UAH. Also, in the central and northern regions, there was an active hiring of logistics specialists, warehouse workers, and delivery personnel - they were offered 28 to 32 thousand UAH.

In Volyn, Transcarpathian, Rivne, and Ternopil regions, logistics, warehouses, and delivery led in the number of vacancies. In Transcarpathia, their quantity increased by 13% over the year. Median salaries in this field in the western regions ranged from 33 to 40 thousand UAH.

In Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Khmelnytskyi regions, the most workers were sought in manufacturing and among labor professions. In Lviv region, demand for them increased by 35% over the year. In Chernivtsi region, retail, sales, and procurement dominated. Overall, among the in-demand fields in the west, HoReCa and construction also remained relevant. Where vacancies increased in the south and east

In southern and southeastern regions, there are generally fewer vacancies due to the security situation. The highest number of offers is concentrated in Dnipropetrovsk and Odesa regions - major economic centers.

In Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, and Zaporizhzhia regions, workers in production were most often sought. The median salary was 26 to 30 thousand UAH, the highest being in Odesa. There, the number of vacancies in this category increased by approximately 9% over the year.

In Kherson and Mykolaiv regions, the highest number of offers was in logistics, warehousing, and delivery. Over the year, their number increased by 11% and 8%, respectively. At the same time, in Kherson region, HoReCa ranked second in vacancies, with a median salary of 13 thousand UAH.

In Sumy region, there were fewer vacancies than the previous year. The most advertisements were placed in logistics, manufacturing, and retail. In Kharkiv region, employers were more active: the number of vacancies in manufacturing increased by 9%, in trade - by 11%, in logistics - by 5%.

Despite differences between regions, in most areas, employers were looking for workers for manufacturing, logistics, trade, construction, and HoReCa. Specific demand was influenced by the local economy and security situation. Data from OLX Job also shows that in certain sectors, the number of vacancies is increasing, but there is a shortage of candidates, especially in manufacturing and logistics.
