Ukrzaliznytsia updates equipment for track workers: what employees received
According to Кулеба: Ukrzaliznytsia has received a new batch of equipment as part of a modernization program. For almost 5 years, no equipment for small mechanization was purchased, but this summer a program to update infrastructure started.
Track workers received over a thousand units of small equipment, such as rail cutters, rail drilling machines, electric sleepers and other equipment, which is mainly produced by domestic enterprises.
“Such equipment reduces physical workload and allows for faster and safer work for people.”
Ukrzaliznytsia also manufactures its own hopper feeders, with a total of 50 units planned to be delivered by the end of the year. A telescopic lift for energy workers was also purchased, which will help quickly restore lines after shelling, tractors for clearing the right-of-way, and other Ukrainian equipment.
“By the end of 2025, UZ will deliver over 1800 units of small mechanization to its units.”
Thanks to these measures, the railway infrastructure is becoming newer, more efficient, and safer. We thank the railway workers who put in efforts to ensure that the railway operates for the benefit of the country.
Railway tracks and energy networks in Ukraine have received new equipment to support and improve operations. This initiative contributes to better working conditions for employees and the development of the country’s infrastructure.
