NABU: criminals collected 527 references on law enforcement officers and officials through the Midas scheme

The criminal organization uncovered during the 'Midas' operation has accumulated over 500 references on influential individuals - this information was announced at a meeting of the Anti-Corruption Policy Committee of the Verkhovna Rada. Among these individuals are representatives of law enforcement agencies, journalists, members of parliament, and other important figures.

The head of NABU reported that detectives are currently sifting through thousands of hours of audio recordings obtained during the special operation. In addition, in connection with the investigation, the circle of suspects is expected to expand. So far, suspicion has been announced against seven individuals, including businessman Timur Mindich and former advisor to the Minister of Energy Igor Mironyuk.

The investigation also revealed the use of the 'Barrier' scheme for obtaining contracts, as well as the existence of a 'back office for money laundering' in Kyiv, where the laundering of corrupt funds was taking place. The organizers of these schemes, according to preliminary information, may be hiding in Israel.
