The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center has announced the weather forecast for the upcoming weekend, promising Ukrainians a true gift from autumn. According to meteorologists, mostly dry and warm weather is expected across the country on September 20-21.

Over the next three days, there will be virtually no precipitation, with only a slight chance of rain tomorrow afternoon in the eastern regions. The wind will change from north-western to south-western direction, with a speed of 5-12 m/s.

Temperature regime: summer gift from September

The temperature regime will delight with summer warmth. At night, thermometers across the country will show between 8 and 15 degrees, and on September 20, the air will heat up to 19-24°. In Zakarpattia, Prykarpattia, and Odesa regions, the temperature may reach 27 degrees. It will be even warmer on September 21-22, when temperatures across Ukraine are expected to be between 22-29°.

Weather in the capital and Kyiv region

The capital region will also not be left out of favorable weather. In Kyiv region and the city of Kyiv, variable cloudiness without precipitation is forecasted for September 20. A north-western wind will blow at a speed of 7-12 m/s.

In Kyiv region, thermometers will show 10-15° at night, while during the day it will be 19-24°. The capital will experience slightly milder temperatures: 11-13° at night, and 20-22° during the day.

Reason for the wonderful weather

Meteorologists explain that such wonderful weather from September 20-24 is due to a high atmospheric pressure field from the anticyclone spreading from the Balkans. Under conditions of a mostly clear sky, a hint of autumn will be felt at night with minimum temperatures of 8-15°, while sunny days can easily bring pleasant summer temperatures of 21-29°.

In the capital, the temperature range will be somewhat narrower: at night it will be 12-15°, during the day the maximum temperature will reach 21-27°. If it is moderately warm on September 20-21, the next three days (September 22-24) will bring a real summer.

According to the latest forecast, Ukrainians can expect a true gift from autumn this weekend in the form of sunny and warm weather. Air temperatures will be above normal for September, allowing for enjoyment of summer warmth before the cold arrives.
