According to ХВИЛЯ: Individuals receiving state social assistance in Ukraine are now able to update their bank account details for benefit payments by notifying the local office of the Pension Fund of Ukraine. This update can be completed through the Pension Fund’s online electronic services portal, streamlining the process significantly. However, this online option is available only for select categories of social aid.

Eligible Types of Social Assistance for Online Bank Detail Updates

The following social benefit categories allow recipients to modify their payment bank information via the online platform:

• Compensations;
• Reimbursements;
• Support for victims of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster;
• Payments to individuals with disabilities caused by explosive hazards;
• Care allowances for persons with mental health disorders;
• Assistance for children whose parents evade alimony payments;
• Rewards awarded to women honored with the title 'Mother-Heroine'.

This update was announced by the Pension Fund of Ukraine. Previously, the news outlet 'Khvylia' reported on the distinction between payments for foster parents and children, as well as an additional payment considered by the Pension Fund when calculating subsidies.

Ensuring bank details are current is crucial to maintaining uninterrupted social benefit disbursements and enhancing convenience for recipients. While the online service helps avoid long queues at Pension Fund offices, it is important to note that not all social assistance programs are covered by this digital option.
