Western Ukraine in icy conditions: forecasters issued a storm warning
In the western regions of Ukraine on November 24, ice is expected on the roads, and gusts of wind up to 20 m/s may occur in the Carpathians. Forecasters have declared level I of danger. This information was received from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center via the 'Glavkom' portal.
The expected weather conditions may complicate traffic, so drivers are advised to be careful on the roads.
Today, cloudy weather with clearings, with rain or snow in some places, is expected in Ukraine. Light precipitation in the west of the country may turn into ice during the day. Night temperatures will range from -1 to -6°, with daytime temperatures around 0°.
Further declines in temperature are expected throughout the week, which is typical for this period of autumn. Most regions are encountering night frosts, and daytime temperatures will be around zero, so precipitation in the form of wet snow or snowfalls, which may create icy conditions on the roads, is possible.
The warnings about dangerous weather conditions in the western regions and the Carpathians may lead to complications in transportation and a need for vigilance from residents of these regions.
