According to МВС: Vitaliy Sobosta served as a machine gunner in the 5th Border Guard Unit and is honored for his bravery and heroism while defending Ukraine’s borders in the Sumy region. He fought valiantly during the 2025 conflict and tragically lost his life on October 5, 2025, during an enemy drone strike near the village of Ivolzhanske.

Bravery Amidst Intense Combat

In late May 2025, near Yunakivka, Vitaliy faced fierce combat where he was wounded by an FPV drone attack. Despite his injuries, he maintained his position and continued firing, preventing enemy forces from taking control. After receiving medical treatment, he returned to the front lines, demonstrating unwavering dedication to his duty.

Tragically, on October 5, 2025, Vitaliy and fellow border guards came under a heavy barrage of hostile drones near Ivolzhanske, resulting in his death. His heroic actions and sacrifice are recorded in the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Book of Remembrance.
