Pedro Pichardo sets the world season record and wins gold at the World Championships 2025

According to glavcom.ua: Portuguese athlete Pedro Pichardo became the World Champion 2025 in triple jump with a new season record. The final, which took place on September 19, featured 12 athletes, including stars such as Italian Andy Hernandez and Burkinabé Yuga Fabrice Zango.

After the second attempt, Cuban Lázaro Martínez was in the lead, but in the sixth round, victory was won by Italian Andre Dallavalle and Pichardo himself, who set a new season record of 17.91 meters.

World Championships 2025. Triple Jump, Final (Men)

  1. Pedro Pichardo (Portugal) – 17.91 m
  2. Andrea Dallavalle (Italy) – 17.64 m
  3. Lazaro Martinez (Cuba) – 17.49 m

This victory was Pichardo's second in his career, as he previously won the World Championship in 2022 and also has an Olympic gold medal from Tokyo 2021 and a silver from the 2024 Games.

Ukrainian athletes Yaroslav Maguchikh and Yuliia Levchenko have qualified for the finals of the 2025 World Championships in high jump and will compete for medals on Sunday, September 21, at 1:30 PM Kyiv time.

Pedro Pichardo set a new season record in triple jump, defeating Italian Andre Dallavalle and Cuban Lázaro Martinez. Ukrainian athletes are also continuing to fight for medals at the World Championships 2025.
