Social pension from 2025: who will receive 2361 hryvnias and under what conditions
In 2025, Ukrainians without sufficient insurance experience or those who have never worked will have the opportunity to receive a social pension. According to the PUFS report, this pension will be paid from the age of 65 and will be equal to the subsistence minimum for disabled persons, which currently amounts to 2361 hryvnias.
Conditions for receiving the pension
To receive a social pension, you must contact the social security authorities with a passport, a certificate of work experience, and a declaration of family income.
At the same time, the state reserves the right to refuse the appointment of payments if the applicant has additional sources of income, owns a second residence, multiple cars, or if the family has spent more than 50 thousand hryvnias in six months.
Benefits for large families
There are also benefits for mothers of large families. Women who have raised five or more children will be able to receive their pension at the age of 50, provided they have at least 15 years of experience. In addition, the period of caring for children will be counted towards work experience. In the absence of the mother, the right to a pension will pass to the father.
The government additionally regulates the conditions for receiving a social pension for citizens with low insurance experience and extends benefits for mothers of large families, taking a step towards social protection of the most vulnerable population categories.
