Pension increased by 300 hryvnias: who is eligible for the supplement and how to apply
Ukrainian pensioners can receive an additional supplement of 300 hryvnias monthly if they have the status of an honored donor. This was reported by the Main Department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Donetsk region.
The special supplement is for those who have been awarded the title 'Honored Donor of Ukraine' or had a similar status during Soviet times. The amount of the supplement is calculated as 10% of the subsistence minimum and currently amounts to 300 hryvnias.
The title of donor can be obtained by donating a significant amount of blood or its components. To do this, one must donate at least 40 full blood donations, 60 plasma donations, or 40 blood cell donations. These donations can accumulate throughout one’s lifetime.
After receiving the required number of donations, a person receives an official certificate and a badge that confirm their donor status. These documents serve as the basis for the appointment of an additional pension payment. The same rights are granted to those who have been honored with the title 'Honored Donor of the USSR'.
Procedure for applying for the supplement
To receive the additional payment, pensioners need to contact the Pension Fund with a corresponding application and documents confirming their identity and donor status. This process can be completed either in person or through the online services of the Pension Fund.
With the additional supplement of 300 hryvnias, pensioners with the status of honored donors can receive extra financial support. This encourages blood and component donations, which are vital for the medical sector and the overall well-being of society.
