Pensions for the Families of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred: Who Will See Increases to 13 Thousand Hryvnias
Changes in Pension Supplements
Starting from December 1, 2025, monthly supplements to pensions for non-working family members of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred will increase to 12,971 hryvnias. This decision was confirmed by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1499, which was adopted on November 19, 2025. The changes also foresee the expansion of the list of individuals entitled to receive this supplement.
According to the new rules, supplements will be granted not only to persons receiving pensions due to the loss of the breadwinner but also to those who receive old-age or disability pensions. However, the total amount of the pension paid, including the supplement, cannot exceed 23,610 hryvnias.
Administration System for Social Payments
It should be noted that starting from July 1, 2025, a unified system for administering social payments through the Pension Fund has been implemented in Ukraine. This innovation aims to improve the management of social payments and ensure worthy support for veterans. Key reform directions include the introduction of an additional pension payment for combat experience.
The increase in supplements to pensions for non-working family members of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred reflects the state's commitment to honor the memory and support families who lost loved ones during the Revolution of Dignity. The expansion of the list of individuals who can receive these supplements also indicates a desire to provide broader access to social support. Such changes in the context of the new administration system for social payments may significantly impact the financial security of veterans and their families in Ukraine.
