UAH 38 Billion in August Payouts Covered by Ukraine's Pension Fund
Financing of Pension Payments and Social Assistance
According to Пенсії (RSS): By August 7, Ukraine's Pension Fund had completed funding for pensions, housing subsidies, benefits, insurance payments, and social aid. Pension disbursements alone reached UAH 28 billion-UAH 4.3 billion channeled through JSC Ukrposhta and UAH 23.7 billion via authorized banks. This activity is part of the state's social safety net, ensuring vulnerable groups receive support during difficult economic conditions.
An additional UAH 1.5 billion went to housing subsidies and benefits, while UAH 1.7 billion covered insurance payments, including UAH 0.4 billion for sick leave. Social assistance and other payouts consumed another UAH 6.8 billion. In August, the Fund provided 298,400 services to citizens who contacted its offices.
Social Protection in Ukraine
These expenditures underscore the government's continued commitment to vulnerable populations amid economic hardship. By using multiple distribution channels-Ukrposhta and commercial banks-authorities make it easier for recipients to access their funds.
The scale of this funding reflects an ongoing policy of social support in Ukraine, a key element of public stability.
