Ukraine’s Pension Fund Allocates 20 Billion Hryvnias for May Payments

According to Пенсії (RSS): As of May 6, 2023, Ukraine’s Pension Fund has fully funded its scheduled disbursements, covering pensions, subsidies, insurance, and social benefits. During May, the Fund processed 289,500 services for individuals who applied to its regional offices.

Breakdown of Funded Payments

Specifically, 20.0 billion hryvnias were allocated for pension payouts, distributed as follows:

• 3.4 billion hryvnias delivered via Ukrposhta (the national postal service);
• 16.6 billion hryvnias channeled through authorized banks.

For housing subsidies and benefits, 3.3 billion hryvnias were provided, while insurance payments received 1.7 billion hryvnias-including 0.4 billion hryvnias for sick leave compensation. Additionally, 5.1 billion hryvnias were set aside for social assistance and other payments.

These figures highlight the Pension Fund of Ukraine’s active role in ensuring social support for the population, especially amid ongoing economic challenges. The disbursements, which cover pensions, subsidies, and various social aid programs, serve as a critical tool for maintaining citizens’ financial stability and addressing their basic needs.
