Pension Fund Allocates UAH 48.4 Billion for Social Payments
Funding for Social Benefits
According to Пенсії (RSS): As of May 15, the state budget has disbursed funds for pensions, subsidies, insurance payouts, and social assistance. A total of UAH 48.4 billion was allocated for pension payments. Of this amount, UAH 7.6 billion was distributed through Ukrposhta JSC, while UAH 40.8 billion went via authorized banks.
Additionally, UAH 3.3 billion was directed toward housing subsidies and benefits, UAH 2.5 billion for insurance payments, UAH 1.1 billion for sick leave compensation, and UAH 9.2 billion for social assistance and other payments. In May, the Pension Fund of Ukraine provided 807,900 services to individuals through its offices.
Social Protection for the Population
Financing social benefits is a critical component of supporting the population, especially during economic uncertainty. The substantial sums allocated to pensions reflect the government's commitment to ensuring citizens' social security. Equally important are the payments for housing subsidies and social assistance, which help alleviate the financial burden on low-income households.
