Support for Orphans and Children Without Parental Care

According to ХВИЛЯ: The Pension Fund of Ukraine administers and distributes monthly financial aid for orphans and children deprived of parental care who are being raised in foster families or family-type children's homes. This support system consists of two main components: social assistance for each child and monetary compensation for the foster parents. The payment amounts vary based on the child's age and disability status. This program is a key part of Ukraine's social safety net, providing crucial stability for vulnerable children.

Monthly Payment Amounts

  • Children under 6 years: 7,042.50 UAH
  • Children aged 6 to 18: 8,780 UAH
  • Children with disabilities under 6: 9,859.50 UAH
  • Children with disabilities aged 6 to 18: 12,292 UAH
  • Individuals aged 18 to 23 continuing their education: 8,320 UAH
  • Individuals with disabilities aged 18 to 23: 11,648 UAH

Applications for these payments can be submitted to the Pension Fund, the Administrative Services Center (TsNAP), or authorized representatives of local councils, regardless of the applicant's place of registration. To apply, a specific set of documents is required, including:

  • An application for assistance and monetary compensation
  • The official decision on placing the child in a foster family or family-type children's home
  • Documents confirming the child's status
  • Information on alimony amounts from the enforcement service
  • A certificate of scholarship from the educational institution
  • A copy of the medical-social expert commission conclusion or medical report for children with disabilities

The monetary compensation for foster parents is calculated using a special formula approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.

Providing aid to orphans and children without parental care represents a vital measure in supporting vulnerable segments of Ukraine's population.

This system offers financial support not only to the children but also to their foster parents, which helps improve living conditions for children in foster care and family-type homes. Given the country's economic situation, these payments can significantly impact the well-being of these children and their new families.
