Extension of Housing Assistance for Displaced Persons

According to ХВИЛЯ: Displaced individuals who have been receiving housing support through August 2026 will have their benefits automatically renewed for an additional six months, provided they continue to meet eligibility requirements. These updates, effective from September 1, 2026, also apply to child assistance programs that do not consider parental income.

According to the Ukrainian Pension Fund, housing aid payments for internally displaced persons (IDPs) currently receiving support up to August 31, 2026, will be extended automatically for another six-month period. This extension is contingent on compliance with the established criteria outlined in the aid provision regulations for IDPs.

Automatic Renewal of Child Assistance

In addition, child assistance benefits granted without assessing parents’ income will also be renewed automatically for the next six months. These changes stem from amendments introduced by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine’s Resolution No. 1087 dated September 3, 2026, which modifies the procedure initially approved by Resolution No. 332 from March 20, 2022, effective September 1, 2026.

"Housing assistance for internally displaced persons who received payments before August 31, 2026, can be extended automatically for another six-month term, assuming they meet the criteria set forth in the relevant regulations," said the Ukrainian Pension Fund.

Recipients do not need to reapply to the Pension Fund to continue receiving payments if they were already approved by the end of August 2026.
