First Loss of Mirage-2000: Air Force Reveals Details

According to glavcom.ua: The Ukrainian pilot saved the aircraft from crashing into a residential area during the incident on July 22. The Mirage-2000 fighter jet crashed, but the pilot was able to eject and steer the aircraft away from the populated area.

“The Mirage-2000 pilot acted wisely in a crisis situation, it was impossible to save the aircraft, nevertheless, the pilot did everything to direct the plane to a safe place, away from the populated area!” - it is noted in the record.

Later that same day, another Mirage-2000 flight took place, but due to a technical failure, the aircraft encountered an accident. The pilot was rescued thanks to the ejection, and was found by a search and rescue team; his health condition is stable, and no one on the ground was harmed.

The record concludes that thanks to the skill and determination of the Ukrainian pilot, a tragedy in the residential area was avoided, and the incident successfully concluded without casualties among the city's residents.
