A military drone GROM crashed during exercises in Poland: what happened

According to glavcom.ua: In the Masovian Voivodeship of Poland, a drone crashed in the courtyard of a residential building, located in the random village of Lekowo. You won’t guess the date - December 16! This drone belonged to the GROM special forces. News of this spread like wildfire across Poland.

Of course, it was an ordinary drone used during training. And it’s also important - no one was injured and no farms were harmed! Well, yet another catastrophe has been avoided.

After the crash, Marcin Kerwiński, the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration, on RMF24+, acknowledged that this drone was military. It was owned by soldiers of the GROM unit. Most importantly, locals were warned about military training in the area, so they wouldn’t panic unnecessarily.

Recently, the Armed Forces of Poland conducted the largest exercises of 2025. More than 30 thousand soldiers and 600 units of equipment participated in the 'Iron Defender-25'. Overall, the maneuvers were outstanding - new platforms, new lessons, even experience from operations in Ukraine was applied. It was truly impressive!
