Preventing similar incidents
In the case of the girl's fall, law enforcement officials have accused the head of the regional division of the municipal enterprise 'Kyivteploenergo'. According to information, the official faces up to eight years in prison. Ukraine's Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko noted that this was one of the fastest medical evacuations. He also emphasized that from the moment of injury to the girl's arrival at the foreign clinic, just over 48 hours had passed.
The Medevac Ukraine program, through which the evacuation was carried out, has assisted 6,290 Ukrainians in over 3.5 years of operation. The importance of prompt actions in such situations highlights the significance of coordination between medical and rescue services.

The investigation being conducted by law enforcement could be an important step in preventing similar incidents in the future.
