Arson Attack on Milrem Robotics Facilities in Tallinn

According to ХВИЛЯ: During the night of August 14-15, the premises of the defense technology firm Milrem Robotics in Tallinn were deliberately set on fire. According to Estonia's Security Police (KAPO), Russian intelligence agencies orchestrated this act. Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna confirmed the arrest of those responsible and assured that there is no longer a threat to Estonia’s national security from this incident.

Minister Tsahkna described the attack as part of a broader Russian campaign across Europe aimed at intimidating nations and undermining support for Ukraine. He emphasized the unacceptability of such actions:

He further noted Estonia’s firm stance: “Russia faces a tough environment here, as we swiftly and decisively protect our country.”

Estonia’s Firm Response to Russian Aggression

In reaction to the arson, Estonia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has summoned the Russian chargé d'affaires. Tsahkna reiterated that this sabotage is part of Russia’s larger European strategy intended to intimidate and weaken support for Ukraine. He pledged that Estonia’s response would be the opposite – strengthening backing for Ukraine while increasing pressure on Russia to halt its aggressive actions.

The minister also stressed the importance of maintaining focus and unity, highlighting that Russia’s actions signal the effectiveness of collective international pressure.
