Free Online Training on Baseline Reports Set for July 29 – Companies Invited to Join

According to Мін. Економіки: The training session focused on baseline reports within the integrated environmental permit process has been moved to a new date. The event will now take place on July 29 and will be held entirely online, allowing participants to join conveniently from any location. Advance registration is mandatory for those wishing to attend.

This initiative is organized in collaboration with the project “Best Available Techniques and Management Practices (BAT/BMP) for Ukraine,” carried out by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. The project operates on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Protection, Nature Conservation, and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN) and is conducted as part of the International Climate Initiative (IKI).

Training Topics

During the session, attendees will learn about:

• the conditions requiring mandatory preparation of a baseline report;
• practical use of approved reporting forms;
• content requirements and methodology for assessing soil and groundwater contamination;
• the procedure for submitting a baseline report through the electronic integrated environmental permit system.

The event is open to plant operators, representatives of industrial enterprises, government officials, relevant specialists, and anyone interested in practically applying the requirements of Ukraine’s Law “On Integrated Prevention and Control of Industrial Pollution.”

The rescheduling highlights the growing emphasis on educational efforts in environmental protection and natural resource management. As ecological challenges intensify, such training can help participants better grasp legal requirements and adopt proper practices to reduce environmental harm.
