According to Мінфін: Ukraine actively supports the agrarian sector. The budget for 2026 allocates 14.1 billion UAH for the development of this industry, which is 4.5 billion UAH more than in the previous year.
'The war has created a number of challenges for farmers that cannot be resolved in one year. Among the priorities of the budget-2026 is the gradual overcoming of these obstacles and providing agricultural producers the opportunity to restore production under difficult conditions,' explains Alex Kava, Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine.
As part of the budget-2026, the following is envisaged:
- 9.5 billion UAH for agricultural product support, including subsidies for frontline areas, insurance, and the development of irrigation systems;
- 2.6 billion UAH for farming, including preferential lending and support for livestock;
- 2 billion UAH for demining agricultural lands.
Additionally, grant programs, preferential lending, and interest reimbursement for loans for horticulture, viticulture, berry farming, and other areas of the agrarian sector are envisaged.
This support will contribute to the recovery of production, demining of lands, and development of the agrarian sector as a whole.
