About the 'Dodomu' Platform

According to Міністерство соц. політики: Since launching in June 2026, the 'Dodomu' platform has attracted more than 50,000 users spanning almost 100 countries worldwide. The highest number of visitors come from Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Spain, and Ukraine. Designed to provide reliable information on government services and social support, the platform assists Ukrainians living abroad in creating personalized plans for returning home.

This initiative is carried out by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Government, in partnership with Ukraine’s Ministry of Social Policy, Family, and Unity. The technical development of the platform is managed by the NGO 'Technologies of Progress.' 'Dodomu' offers up-to-date resources about opportunities in Ukraine and various tools to facilitate return and reintegration processes.

Ilona Havronska, a project representative, commented: "The platform's early success, with over 50,000 visits in the initial months, highlights the strong demand for 'Dodomu' today. We are continuously updating and expanding its content, including information about local communities and available opportunities in Ukraine. Our goal is to reduce uncertainty for Ukrainians planning to return now or in the future and to support them in making informed decisions when they are ready."

The Importance of Return Planning

'Dodomu' plays a crucial role by supplying essential information on government services, social assistance, and other decision-making tools related to returning and reintegration. As the project evolves, it aims to become an even more valuable resource for Ukrainians considering their journey back to their homeland.

The growing interest in 'Dodomu' highlights the pressing nature of return migration amid shifting socio-economic conditions in Ukraine. It also underscores the significance of international collaboration in supporting Ukrainian citizens seeking pathways to return and reintegrate effectively. Moving forward, the platform is poised to serve as a vital source of guidance and assistance for those navigating the complexities of repatriation.

As Ukrainians navigate the complexities of returning home, the new ambassador program launched by Ukraine’s Ministry of Social Policy aims to provide additional support for citizens abroad. This initiative complements the efforts of platforms like 'Dodomu', ensuring that returnees have access to vital resources and guidance during their transition.
