All-Ukrainian School Leagues 'Side by Side': Record Number of Teams in 2024

According to Федерація Легкої Атлетики: Currently, the II stage of student competitions - All-Ukrainian School Leagues 'Side by Side' is taking place across Ukraine. Territorial stages have already been held in cities such as Kyiv, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, Volyn, and others.

This year, the number of participants in the project has reached record levels. The competition is fierce, and the interest of schoolchildren in athletics is growing. Celebrity ambassadors are closely following the progress of the competitions and motivating young athletes.

One of the ambassadors, Arthur, shared his memories and advice for younger participants: 'In my childhood, I would have happily participated in 'Side by Side'. It's new acquaintances, movement, travels. I always loved competition - it was a celebration. When I started doing sports, I jumped, ran, and threw. Therefore, these leagues are a great opportunity for kids to try different types of athletics and find their passion. I wish participants to believe in themselves, take care of their health, and train wisely. At a young age, it is important to develop gradually to avoid injuries. And most importantly - enjoy the process.'
