Weather on February 19: strong wind and snow
19 лютого в Україні прогнозуються сильні вітри та сніг, але з 23 числа очікується потепління.

Weather Forecast for February 19th

According to Главком: A frosty day with strong winds, cloud cover, and precipitation is expected across Ukraine on February 19th. Moderate snowfall is forecast for most of the country, while the eastern and southeastern regions may see rain turning to snow. Significant snow and blizzard conditions are predicted overnight in the Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, Poltava, and Sumy oblasts. These conditions also create a high probability of icy roads, posing hazards for drivers. This severe weather is part of a larger winter system affecting Eastern Europe.

Outlook for the Coming Week

The week will bring considerable moisture in the form of wet snow and rain. Temperatures will be inconsistent, ranging from freezing at night to above zero during the day. However, a noticeable warming trend is anticipated to begin on February 23rd.

As noted by meteorologist Natalka Didenko, 'this warming could improve weather conditions following a cold spell.'

According to forecasts, Ukraine's weather in the coming days will be challenging, potentially impacting transportation and daily life. Heavy snow and blizzards may hinder travel, while road ice increases the risk of accidents. Nevertheless, the warming expected from February 23rd should bring relief from the harsh conditions, which may positively influence agriculture and the general state of the environment.
