According to Главком: The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center forecasts cloudy conditions with light, wet snow for Thursday, January 29. Warm, moist air moving in from the Black Sea will bring precipitation in the form of wet snow and rain. Icing is expected in western and northern regions, and roads across most of the country-excluding Zakarpattia, the south, and the southeast-will be slippery.

Temperatures will hover around freezing throughout the day. In the south of the country, nighttime temperatures will range from 1 to 6 degrees Celsius, rising to 5-10 degrees during the day. In the Kyiv region and the capital, meteorologists also predict light wet snow and rain. Fog and ice are possible in the Kyiv region overnight and in the morning, creating hazardous driving conditions.

Conditions in the Kyiv Region

Winds in the Kyiv region will be northeasterly at 5-10 meters per second. Temperatures there will range from -2 to +3 degrees Celsius at night and during the day, while in Kyiv itself, temperatures will remain around 0 degrees throughout the day. Drivers and pedestrians are advised to exercise caution due to potential ice on the roads.
