According to Главком: The weather for New Year in Ukraine is expected to be diverse. On December 30, 2023, cloudy weather is forecasted across the country without precipitation; however, snow is possible in some areas. During the day, strong snowfalls are expected in certain regions, while at night, most southern areas will not have any precipitation. Icy conditions will be observed on the roads, which may complicate movement.

The wind will be from the west at a speed of 7-12 m/s, with gusts of up to 15-20 m/s in the western regions, as well as in the Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions. The air temperature at night will fluctuate from -1 to -6°C, with even lower values of up to -9°C possible in the northeast. During the day, the temperature will drop to -4°C, but in the extreme south, temperatures are expected to range from 2 to 4°C above zero.

Forecasts and Recommendations

Moderate snow is expected in the Carpathians, with nighttime temperatures ranging from -6 to -11°C, and daytime from -3 to -8°C. In the Kyiv region, nighttime temperatures will range from -1 to -6°C, while during the day temperatures will vary from -4°C to +1°C; in Kyiv, nighttime temperatures will range from -4°C to -6°C, whereas during the day a temperature of -1 to -3°C is expected. It should be noted that on December 31, the weather situation will be determined by a cyclone whose center is located north of Ukraine.
