Police officer suspected of child's death in a traffic accident released on bail

According to glavcom.ua: In Pryluky, a police officer suspected of fatally hitting a 6-year-old girl was released on bail after posting 242,000 UAH, reports "Hlavkom" citing "Suspilne".

The incident occurred on December 10 on Vyacheslav Chornovil Street. As a result of the accident, the girl was killed, and her mother was hospitalized with injuries. The drivers of the police vehicle were suspended from duty.

The prosecutor advocated for keeping the suspect in custody without the possibility of bail, but the court decided to hold her behind bars for 60 days with the possibility of posting bail of 242,000 UAH, considering the risks of influencing witnesses and evading investigation.

We remind that in November, a police officer in a state of intoxication hit two sisters in Poltava region, who died. He was detained under the relevant article of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
