The Death of Dmytro Kuzmin: the warrior saved his comrade, giving his own life

Every morning at 9 o'clock, Ukrainians honor the memory of all whose lives were taken by the Russo-Ukrainian war. Today we remember Dmytro Kuzmin.

On November 23, 2024, 29-year-old warrior Dmytro Kuzmin died while saving the life of a comrade. This happened in the vicinity of the village of Bilohorivka in the Sievierodonetsk district of the Luhansk region. This was reported by 'Glavkom' with reference to the Chernivtsi Regional Council.

Dmytro Mykolaiovych Kuzmin was born on November 8, 1995, in the village of Kyseliiv. He lived there with his parents and sister, finished school there and continued his studies in Zastavna. He obtained a profession as a tractor driver-mechanic. Dmytro was an honest, kind-hearted young man who loved his family and dreamed of traveling.

After finishing his studies, he worked as an electrician and moved to the village of Dubove in the Kamyanka community. He wanted to start a family, but the war prevented him.

In 2023, Dmytro Kuzmin was mobilized. He was part of the airborne assault troops, and then he was transferred to the infantry unit.

The hero died while saving a comrade. This happened on November 23, 2024, in the vicinity of the village of Bilohorivka in the Sievierodonetsk district of the Luhansk region.

“The terrible war took a young life in its bloom. How much good and bright could have been ahead of him. Dmytro will always live in our hearts as an indomitable Hero who died for the independence of Ukraine,” say the people of the Kamyanka community.

The defender was buried in the village of Dubove. He left behind his parents and sister.

Dmytro Kuzmin is just one of the many tragic stories of fallen Ukrainian patriots, warriors who gave their lives for their country. Their courage and heroism will always be remembered and honored in Ukrainian society.
