According to ХВИЛЯ: Poland is introducing a new tourist tax of 5 zlotys per day of stay, which will replace the existing climate tax. The bill, submitted by deputies from the Polska 2050 party, was introduced to the Sejm on November 7. This new tax will be levied on individuals arriving in Poland for tourism, recreation, or study.
According to the draft, the maximum rate of the current climate tax in 2025 will be 3.31 zlotys per day. It is worth noting that the new tourist tax will be optional for each gmina. There are 2479 municipalities in Poland, which may affect the decisions of local authorities regarding the implementation of this tax.

The draft law has currently been sent for review to the Legislative Office and the Expert Review Office of the Chancellery of the Sejm. It is expected that the innovation may significantly impact the tourism industry and local budget financing.
