Poland's Stance on Peaceful Coexistence with Russia

According to Главком: In an interview with 'Glavcom', Poland's Chargé d'Affaires in Ukraine, Piotr Lukasiewicz, outlined the conditions for peaceful coexistence between Europe and Russia. He stated that such a relationship is only possible if the 'root causes of the war' are eliminated. Lukasiewicz identified Russian President Vladimir Putin and his inner circle as the primary source of the conflict, arguing they have voluntarily detached themselves from the European civilizational space.

Lukasiewicz further emphasized that while Russia as a geographical entity and its population will not disappear, Russian imperialism must cease to exist.

'We cannot predict exactly how this will happen, but it must disappear. And Ukraine's defense against Russian imperialism is precisely what should bring about its end, here and now,' the diplomat stated.

Context of Polish Diplomacy

This statement comes amidst other diplomatic activity from Warsaw. Poland's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Radosław Sikorski, recently concluded a visit to India. Domestically, a separate incident has drawn public attention, where presidential candidate Grzegorz Braun led a group of approximately 30 men into a hospital, an event witnessed by Dr. Gizela Jagielska.

Poland's position on peaceful coexistence with Russia remains clear and unequivocal, focusing on the necessity of eliminating imperialist tendencies from Moscow. These remarks by Lukasiewicz reflect a broader foreign policy line, underscoring Poland's strategic role in the region and its staunch support for Ukraine's defense against aggression, which it views as crucial for European security.
