Strengthening control over military registration in Poltava

According to ХВИЛЯ: In Poltava, control over military registration and the detection of violators of mobilization rules is being strengthened. The Executive Committee of the Poltava City Council made a decision on January 9 to establish a special commission that will oversee compliance with military registration rules. The main task of the commission is to monitor the accuracy of the lists of conscripts.

Commission's tasks and police involvement

The commission will also identify conscripts who are wanted during their appeals to government authorities. The Poltava Combined City Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support proposed engaging the police to detain violators of military registration if necessary.

According to Roman Istomin, it is not possible to fully meet or exceed the plans, but all possible measures are being taken to reduce the deficit of personnel in the military.

These measures indicate a strengthening of state control in the field of mobilization amid ongoing military aggression. The creation of a commission and the involvement of the police to identify violators of military registration may be an important step in ensuring the staffing of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, it may raise concerns among the population regarding the potential consequences for those who do not comply with military registration rules.
