According to Главком: Ukrainian singer, composer, poet, actor, and People's Artist of Ukraine Mykola Yanchenko has died at the age of 66. His death was announced on July 1 by Nataliia Zabolotna, head of the Vinnytsia Regional State Administration, and Nataliia Falion, lead singer of the band 'Lisapetnyi Batalion.' Born in 1959 in the village of Kanava in the Vinnytsia region, Yanchenko rose to fame for his music and cultural contributions.

Artistic Career

Yanchenko launched his active creative career in 1993 following the release of the collection 'Moiivske Vesillia.' He founded and organized the folk and pop music festival 'Mamyna Pich.' His greatest hits include the politically charged song 'Putinu - Khana' and the popular track 'Kum.'

Zabolotna noted that Yanchenko 'dedicated his entire life to Ukrainian song, our culture, and his native Podillia region.' She emphasized that 'his work was known and loved far beyond Vinnytsia, and his sincerity, talent, and love for people will forever remain in the memory of everyone who had the honor of knowing him.'
