More than a million Ukrainians have already received winter assistance: how to apply for payments

More than a million Ukrainians have already applied for payments under the 'Winter Support 2025' program through Ukrposhta. In just 2 weeks of November, almost 846 thousand applications were received at the post office, and over the first 3 days of December, more than 165 thousand.

Deputy Prime Minister Oleksii Kuleba emphasized the importance of the program for citizens and noted that thanks to Ukrposhta, it has become very accessible, especially for persons with disabilities and people with limited mobility.

"Our national postal operator, Ukrposhta, ensures the accessibility of the program. This service is especially important for people with limited mobility, who can easily receive funds even in remote villages and on the front lines. This winter, the state emphasizes support for the most vulnerable citizens. As last year, Ukrposhta will provide simple and reliable access to necessary funds for everyone through its logistics network."

The process of receiving money through Ukrposhta

Starting from November 25, the program is being implemented in rural post offices throughout Ukraine. Currently, Ukrposhta has already paid more than 403 thousand citizens. Individuals receiving social benefits through this carrier will automatically receive funds. If a pensioner receives a pension through a bank or does not use the services of a post office, they will receive an SMS notification about the funds being credited.

Applications for receiving funds are accepted at all post offices and through postal workers for people with limited mobility until December 24. You can also contact the call center at the number: 0 800 300 545. To submit an application, you need to have a passport or other document, an identification code, or its absence, and also documents for children and their legal representatives.

Ukrainians do not stop during difficult times and show solidarity, helping each other despite the circumstances. The government program supporting the most vulnerable segments of society has proven to be very important for many citizens, allowing them to receive the necessary financial assistance through the national postal operator - Ukrposhta.
