The Security Service and Prosecutor's Office Returned 130 Million UAH to the State: Damages Recovered by Former Tax Official

Over 130 million UAH have been returned to the state! The Prosecutor's Office, together with the Security Service, managed to recover damages caused by a high-ranking official of the State Fiscal Service. In total, these funds were credited to the accounts of the State Treasury.

This individual is currently a suspect in two criminal cases. In the first, they are accused of abuse of power related to the VAT refund to a company, which resulted in significant penalties due to delayed tax refunds. In the second case, this person has also been suspected of creating a scheme to evade tax payments and to legalize funds obtained through criminal means.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing in these cases under the guidance of prosecutors from the Kyiv City and Pechersk District Prosecutor's Offices with the involvement of the Main Department of the Security Service in Kyiv and Kyiv region.

As a result of the joint actions of the Prosecutor's Office and the Security Service, it was possible to return over 130 million UAH to the state, which were damages caused by the unscrupulous actions of a former high-ranking official of the State Fiscal Service. The individual is suspected in two criminal proceedings related to the organization of schemes to evade tax payments and abuse of official position.
