Ukrainians declared over 15 thousand units of weapons: results of the amnesty year

According to МВС: Different countries have invented their own ways to combat the shadow circulation of weapons. Ukraine, for the first time in world history, has implemented a unique mechanism for declaring weapons in the context of a military conflict. This law allows citizens to legally keep found or obtained weapons, as well as to surrender them to the state without any penalties. At first glance, this idea works: over the course of a year, more than 15.5 thousand citizens have declared their weapons and ammunition. This is already a positive step towards reducing the amount of illegal weapons in circulation.
